Do you have any words to share about your Titans experience? What impact did playing for the Titans have on you and your life?
Titans means a lot to me. Just two days after moving to a new country at the age of 11, volleyball became my universal language, helping me connect with new teammates right away. From that moment on, and throughout high school, I remained deeply committed to Titans Volleyball, competing in both indoor and beach tournaments across Canada and the United States. Being part of Titans Volleyball has been especially meaningful, as it even brought me back together with some of my friends and former teammates when we reunited through volleyball again at university.
What would you say to a younger athlete considering joining the club?
I would strongly encourage them. Joining Titans Volleyball is about so much more than just becoming a better volleyball player. It’s about building discipline and character through practices and strength training. You also learn about commitment, competition, and how to stay focused under pressure. You develop teamwork skills, accountability, and the ability to lift each other up. It shapes you not only as an athlete, but as a person. More than anything, it becomes a second family, where everyone is striving toward a common goal and constantly pushing each other to grow and improve.
Did the club experience help prepare you for future academics, careers, or athletics?
Being a student athlete taught me the importance of time management and staying very focused and productive. Playing volleyball also opened the door to coaching, which helped me discover my passion for teaching which continues to shape my academic and professional life today.
If you had to describe your time with the club in three words, what would they be?
Teamwork, Resilience, Community
