What was your experience like with the Titans? What did it mean to you?

My experience with Titans was amazing. I had a handful of coaches who supported me and encouraged me to strive for my best self-every day and allowed me to truly explore my limits and discover my full potential in volleyball. When I look back on my experience with Titans, I fully recognize that I probably wouldn’t have had the volleyball experience/career I did without my Titans family.

How did being part of the club shape you as a person on and off the court?

Being a Titan taught me so much about passion, drive, and commitment- both for myself and for my team. On the court, those values pushed me to keep improving and to give my all every game. Off the court, they carried over into school, work, and everyday life. They’ve helped me stay focused on my goals and reminded me how important it is to  put myself in environments that motivate and support me. Being part of the Titans also showed me the real meaning of teamwork and respect -respect for each other and your training environment. I still think back to how much team culture could make or break a season, and that really stuck with me. It taught me how much the people around you and the attitude you bring can shape not just the game, but your life.

Can you share a memorable moment or highlight with your teammates?

Dave has supported me through every step of my life after during and after Titans – both in volleyball and beyond. He consistently checked in on my journey throughout my time at Brock, even making the trip down to Niagara with Shawn to watch me play. Dave also kept up with my journey on the Beach Next Gen team and followed my professional career overseas, tuning in through live game links. When my volleyball career came to an end and I decided to pursue my master’s in teaching, Dave continued to be there for me, offering guidance through the application and hiring processes until I was offered a position with the board. Throughout it all, Dave has always found ways to keep me connected with the Titans, whether it was grabbing a coffee, a phone call, or involving me in new club initiatives and coaching opportunities. It never felt like I left Titans. To sum it up, Dave has supported me in every aspect of my life. I couldn’t be more grateful to have him as a coach, mentor, and friend to look up to.

What would you say to a younger athlete considering joining the club?

Commit to Titans and you will have lifelong friendships and a support system for many years to come.

Why do you think the club stands out compared to others?

What makes this club stand out is the genuine care and commitment shown toward each athlete’s growth. Athletes are treated with respect and given plenty of opportunities for extra training if they feel they need. When teams walk into practice, you can immediately see the positive energy- there’s laughter, smiles, and a strong sense of community. For Titans, it’s more than just volleyball; it’s a lifestyle. We train not only to become great athletes who can succeed beyond Titans, but also to build strong character grounded in confidence, drive, and gratitude for their unique journeys ahead.

If you had to describe your time with the club in three words, what would they be?
